Hunting for your home

As you are probably aware, it is a buyer's market. Among other things, this means that you, the buyer, are in the driver's seat. You have tons of inventory to choose from and you may be able to afford to buy into an area you couldn't before.

Sounds wonderful, right? It is, but there are many things to be aware of.

There is a common misconception that short sales and foreclosures are the way to get the best deal. That is not always the case, in part because of the risks involved.

I can give you valuable information on short sales and foreclosures, including lists of properties. I can also represent you once you have made the informed decision that that is the best route for you. The truth is that the vast majority of sellers in this market are motivated. They are aware that the market has changed and are anxious to work with buyers, even on price. And while they may not always offer prices that are as low as distressed properties, they offer other things that perhaps compensate for the higher price tag.

The reality of the market is that there are so many options, so much inventory, so many things to be aware of, that to try to do it by yourself is to ask for trouble. The risk of making a mistake is far too great to take. Real Estate mistakes are expensive ones. A good agent will not only keep you from making costly mistakes, but will also be likely to negotiate a far better deal than what you could have negotiated for yourself. And in any market, but especially now, it is best to have a talented agent working for you.

If you are serious about buying in today's market or would like information that will help you to decide either way contact me. I can help.
